It is necessary to purchase the Roald Dahl titles listed below  to maximise the learning experience and effectively benefit from the Active Literature Studies publications.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory:

Mr Willy Wonka is the most extraordinary chocolate maker in the world. One day, Mr Wonka offers a handful of children and their guardians a tour of the exclusive chocolate factory, but only if they are able to find one of the hidden golden tickets.

The day arrives and several children arrive at the chocolate factory clutching their golden tickets, but what mysterious secrets will they discover?

Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator:

Inside the Great Glass Elevator, Willy Wonka, Charlie Bucket and his family are cruising a thousand feet above the chocolate factory.
They can see the whole world below them, but they're not alone. The American Space Hotel has just launched. Lurking inside are the Vernicious Knids - the most brutal, vindictive murderous beasts in the universe.
So grab your gizzard! Only Charlie and Willy Wonka can stop the Kids from destroying everything!

Fantastic Mr.Fox:

Boggis is an extremely fat chicken farmer who only eats boiled chickens.
Bunce is a duck-and-goose farmer whose dinner gives him a terrible temper.
Bean is a turkey-and-apple farmer who only drinks gallons of strong cider.
Mr Fox, rather cleverly, creeps down to the valley and helps himself to food from the farms every evening.
It wasn't long before the farmers hatched a plan to shoot Mr Fox dead. But, just when they think Mr Fox can't possibly escape, he thinks up a fantastic plan of his own.

George's Marvellous Medicine:

George Kranky's Grandma is a miserable grouch. George really hates that horrid old witchy woman.
One Saturday morning, George is in charge of giving Grandma her medicine.
So-ho! Ah-ha! Ho-hum! George knows exactly what to do.
A magic medicine* it will be. One that will either cure her completely...or blow off the top of her head.

*WARNING: Do not try to make George's Marvellous Medicine yourselves at home. It could be dangerous.

Matilda:

Matilda Wormwood's father thinks she's a little scab. Matilda's mother spends all afternoon playing bingo. And Matilda's headmistress Miss Trunchbull? Well, she's the worst of all. She is a big bully, who thinks all her pupils are rotten and locks them in the dreaded Chokey. As for Matilda, she's an extraordinary little girl with a magical mind - and now she's had enough. So all these grown-ups had better watch out, because Matilda is going to teach them a lesson they'll never forget.
